Home and Away spoilers: affair ‘exposed', Stevie’s stalker hell and Valerie’s downfall

 

Home and Away’s Stevie’s stalker hell continues after they make a creepy move - leaving the actress shaken. Elsewhere Levi is almost caught out and Roo and Tane make a baby decision.

It’s all kicking off on Home and Away next week.

After watching Death Throes the night before, Cash discovers his intuition was right - on the back of the photo from Stevie’s stalker is the same number written by the killer in the movie… the time of death.

Cash asks Stevie if anything weird happened to her fellow cast members. She replies casually that her co-star, Crystal, died a month ago. Crystal’s death was an “accident”; however, there’s a coroner’s inquest going on, because the circumstances surrounding the incident were unclear.

Turns out Crystal was her best friend. There was nothing that seemed to be wrong with her in the time leading up to her death, which makes it extremely suspicious that she just “fell” off a cliff.

Suddenly, there’s a knock on the door. Inside a box is a teddy bear that Stevie brushes off as a harmless gift from a fan, but Cash picks it up, suspicious. Little do they know that he was right: something – or rather, someone – is watching them … There’s a camera inside the teddy bear.

Cash picks apart the mysterious teddy bear sent to Stevie, thread by thread. Suddenly, the needle snags on something lodged inside the bear. Cash fishes out the item, and his worst fears are confirmed - it’s a camera and microphone. Cash quickly disposes of the spyware, and tells Stevie not to panic. Stevie, however, takes that as permission to step back in public and go to the premiere that night.

Just when it looks like Cash won’t be able to change her mind, they’re in for a very disturbing discovery. Someone’s already posted the sneaky photo of Stevie and Cash on social media under an anonymous profile, again with the same Death Throes numbers indicating the supposed time of death.

Cash tries to comfort Stevie by telling her she’s doing the right thing by not going to the premier but her spirits are low – it feels like the stalker’s won. She confides in Cash, telling him the whole reason she worked so hard was so that she wouldn’t have to be scared and dependent on someone ever again. Exactly like she is now.

Also happening on Home and Away, cornered by Justin, Theo offers a white lie - he and Valerie are in fact dating, but the blowout Justin witnessed on the beach happened for no reason other than that Kirby was jealous. A relieved Justin thanks Theo for being honest with him, and bids him goodnight.

Theo feels guilty, but stays silent. The next day, he tells Valerie that he had to give up the secret of their relationship to cover the harder-to-swallow truth about their drug use. Instead of being understanding, however, Valerie storms off, betrayed.

Later, Leah asks Valerie if she should consider checking in again with the clinic. Valerie seems to consider this seriously. However, after announcing publicly that she has booked an appointment, Valerie confesses to Theo later on that it’s a lie.

Theo and Valerie return home from a huge night out partying. Theo, exhausted, wants to rest, but Valerie is visibly uncomfortable with the silence – there’s nothing to distract her from her own mind when it’s quiet.

Cuddling in bed, Theo tells her that he thinks he’s falling in love with her. This triggers an unexpected reaction from Valerie, who immediately jumps up from bed and makes an excuse about needing to leave.

On the verge of a breakdown, she asks Theo if he can take back what he said; she’s afraid that she’s going to let him down. She also reveals her fears about Leah and Justin kicking her out.

Theo manages to calm her down long enough to bring her home, but Valerie is overwhelmed. She pulls out a couple of pills and tells Theo she’s going to have one, and pressures him to do it with her.

However, as soon as Valerie lies down and closes her eyes, Theo takes the pill out of his mouth and disposes of it. He’s worried – this is getting out of control.

Elsewhere, with nothing better to do, Eden accompanies Remi to his first physiotherapy session. Things take a dramatic turn though when, in one hasty moment, he goes for the weights and overextends himself, almost injuring himself severely as his chest cramps up with pain.

Eden takes her friend back home and chides him, telling him to stop being so bull-headed and just back go to hospital; running into Bree is the least of his worries at this rate. But Remi begs her not to call Bree no matter what, and tells her to leave him alone.

Desperate, Eden calls, Imogen, and asks her for help. Eden takes Levi to Remi, and after completing a couple of checks – Remi protesting the whole time – Levi tells him to calm it down with the PT exercises.

Levi then lets slip that he knows Remi has just been dumped. Remi is furious at Eden for telling her brother about the breakup, but she protests, insisting that he needed to know the full story. Remi makes a fuss about it, but Levi “promises” he’ll send him to Reefton Lakes, a hospital further away with no danger of running into Bree.

With Remi finally out the door, Eden tells Levi she knows something’s up. When she called Imogen earlier in the day, she told her that Levi hadn’t been home at all; in fact, he had been staying in the Bay all week.

Eden reassures her brother that she covered for him, but insists on knowing what’s going on. Cornered and not going to going confess to his affair with Mackenzie, Levi says he told Imogen he was staying with her, and admits to lying to both of them.

He tells Eden he’s actually been staying in a hotel because he “needed the space”. Eden asks if he’s feeling the pressure because of the baby situation. Levi grabs onto this immediately, nodding along.

After Levi’s explanation, he apologises for getting her caught up in his mess. Eden seems to forgive him but makes it clear that he cannot put her in that situation ever again.

Later that night, Levi tries to excuse himself and turn in for the night at the hotel, but Eden begs him to stay at her place for some quality time together as siblings. Levi calls a disappointed Mackenzie to tell her there’s been a change of plans, and almost gets caught out again.

When they sit down for a drink, an unknowing Eden gives Levi what she thinks is helpful reassurance - it’s good that he’s taking the time away from Imogen to think about the baby, but he shouldn’t be lying to her. When someone you love tells you something, she says, you trust that it’s the truth. She reminds him that Imogen loves him, and will understand him no matter what, leaving Levi deeply troubled by his conscience.

Later on, Bree barges into the diner with a target aimed on Justin’s head. She lets loose at him for fixing Remi’s death trap of a motorcycle, then delivering it to his front door.

Back at home, she calms down a little thanks to Xander’s emotional support, but it’s clear that she’s not taking the separation from Remi well. To top things off, she’s agreed to help John film a practice wedding ceremony (featuring an awkward and unwilling Dana and Xander).

However, watching them recite their vows to each other proves to be too much for Bree. She confides in Xander again: she has no idea what to do without Remi.

Meanwhile, Tane is reeling after the fallout with the journalist at the hospital. Alf and Roo are doing their best to support him, with Roo sticking by the baby’s side in his place.

They bring up the possibility of Tane being an emergency foster carer, but he shakes his head – he’s already thought about it, and he can’t because he’s not a permanent resident. Determined, Alf tries talking to Rose about lifting the AVO, but she sadly puts her foot down – the minute Tane laid a finger on that journalist, it was out of her hands.

Felicity watches the whole conversation between Tane, Alf and Roo, conflicted. Tugging on the last thread of hope, Roo and Tane sit down together to look at the application to apply for a permanent residency.

However, they’re in for a disheartening reality check: it’ll take months for that whole process, and even if that gets approved, Tane will have to wait however many more months on top of that to apply to be a carer.

Tane suddenly has an idea. Why doesn’t Roo take matters into her own hands? She stews on it, the memory of giving up her own daughter for adoption heavy on her mind. She knocks on Alf’s door later that night, her mind made up. Maybe she should apply to become Maia’s emergency foster carer…

Roo is making all the necessary arrangements to apply to be Maia’s emergency foster carer, but self-doubt is creeping in. She confides in Alf over her fears.

Having overheard the whole plan, Felicity pays Roo an unexpected visit. She comforts her, reassuring her that what she’s doing to help Tane is amazing.

On her way out of the Surf Club, Felicity eyes the overwhelming amount of supplies, gifts and donations on the counter that people donated for Maia. This gets the gears in her head turning - maybe there are other ways to help that don’t involve caring for a baby. She announces that Salt is going to hold a fundraiser, and she’s roping Xander in to run it.
