Home and Away sets up Remi and Bree's split storyline with big surprise

 

Bree isn't happy with Remi's gift from Justin.

Home and Away airs the first hints of trouble for Remi Carter and Bree Cameron's relationship on Tuesday evening (April 23) – ahead of a heartbreaking split for the couple.

When Remi's friends Justin Morgan and Kirby Aramoana spring a big surprise on him, Bree is visibly unsettled by the gesture.

Show bosses have released a spoiler clip from Tuesday's 5STAR first-look episode, which reveals that Remi isn't on the same page as Bree when it comes to his biking hobby. The video can be watched in full at the top of the page.

Last month, Remi was knocked off his motorbike in a devastating accident.

The Lyrik guitarist came dangerously close to losing his life when the men in the other vehicle wrongly assumed that he was dead and delayed getting him the emergency help he needed.

In the latest visit to Summer Bay, Justin surprises Remi by revealing that he has been hard at work restoring his beloved bike.

Remi's bandmate Kirby joins in with the excitement, pleased that her friend can get back on the road.

Bree witnesses the trio celebrating but holds back from joining in, visibly unsettled over the thought of Remi getting back on the bike.

The Summer Bay doctor is plagued by fear and anxiety over the possibility of losing Remi and wants him to stay as safe as possible.

As well as the recent accident, Bree's concerns are influenced by the recent tragic loss of her father.

In further upcoming scenes, Bree gives Remi an ultimatum as she warns that their relationship will be over if he gets back on the bike again.

Remi initially agrees to this, but soon deceives Bree by getting Justin to store the bike for him while he considers ways to ride it without her knowledge.

When Remi's betrayal is exposed, Bree sees red and ends their relationship.

Home and Away airs Remi's surprise on Tuesday (April 23) at 6.30pm on 5STAR. The episode also airs on Wednesday (April 24) at 1.45pm on Channel 5.
