Home and Away reveals first look as Mackenzie's new romance begins

Home and Away's Mackenzie Booth may have found out a new love interest in cardiothoracic surgeon Dr Levi Fowler.

In scenes airing next week for viewers in the UK, Mackenzie is adamant that she won't leave the hospital to go to the 'Salt by the Sea' charity fundraiser.

The event has been held in her honour following her recent heart problems, so Dr Levi attempts a different route to get her to attend. He tells her that if she's not going then neither is he, even if he is the keynote speaker.

Convinced by her doctor's words, Mac agrees to go to the gala. For his part, Levi promises not to leave her side for the whole event, giving her the courage to show up.

The two glam up and arrive together, sharing a sweet moment during Levi's speech.

The doctor opts not to talk science and statistics, but to speak from the heart about his patients, with a particular nod to Mac.

"Mackenzie's life is more than a number," he tells the crowd as Mac looks on, deeply touched.

After he walks her back to the hospital, Mac is drawn to the doctor. Having seen her surgeon in a new light during his heartfelt speech, she kisses him.

While these scenes suggest Levi could be Mackenzie's next big love, there may be a moral dilemma on the horizon for her.

Recent episodes aired in Australia have revealed that Levi is married. Will the two embark on an affair or will they be able to keep their attraction at bay?
