Critics Say Prince William Is Unprepared To Be King Of England

He might have been training for the job his entire life, but it looks like he’s still got some work to do. There’s a new report that suggests Prince William is just unprepared for all of the work it takes to become the King of England.

And that’s not because he can’t handle it, but mostly because his critics think that he simply doesn’t want to do it. Here’s what you need to know.

Royal Family News – Critics Say Prince William Is Unprepared To Be King Of England

According to the New York Times, critics say that Prince William is simply unprepared for the daily “routine of the monarchy.”

The Prince of Wales has been called Work-Shy Wily for years now and some people simply think the prince just isn’t as dedicated as his grandmother Queen Elizabeth once was or even his father, King Charles. That’s because he tends to put his energy into other things.

Ed Owens, a royal historian, put it this way to the publication, “William has tended toward less of the day-to-day routine work of the monarchy, compared to his father, instead focusing on bigger, glitzier engagements. But now he’ll be expected to fill in on many of these more mundane public outings.”

Not only that, but it seems like Prince William hasn’t really done any of the meatier royal events on his own.

Peter Hunt, a former royal correspondent for the BBC, also added to the New York Times, “William was trying to explore the boundaries of what he could do as heir that he couldn’t do as king. The tension is how to pursue his own activities while supporting the monarch. William is going to feel that at an earlier stage than his father did.”

Royal Family News – What’s Next For Prince William?

So far the Prince of Wales himself has not made any comments about the matter but at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said.

Time will only tell when he will become the next King of England. With King Charles’ health on the decline, some people think it will happen sooner rather than later.
