The Latest on The Bold and the Beautiful: January 1 Week Recap - Steffy Disagrees with Xander, Supports Thomas - Bill's Romantic Gesture for Poppy

 

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers update for the week of January 1-5 reveals that we’ll see some tight spots and conflicting stories. After a repeat on Monday, January 1, there’ll be four brand-new episodes that follow.

At Forrester Creations, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) will beam with pride over the engagement ring he picked out and eagerly await Hope’s choice.

Although Thomas will pressure Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) to become his bride, she’ll definitely have some reservations.

Hope will ultimately offer a response that catches Thomas off guard, but does that mean he’ll be bummed over a rejection or pleasantly surprised by an acceptance?

At this point, Hope has given no indication that she’s ready for marriage with Thomas, but it would certainly raise the stakes of this storyline if she said yes.

Whatever the case, B&B spoilers say Hope won’t realize Xander Avant (Adain Bradley) is in the middle of accusing Thomas of a heinous crime.

Xander will seethe over Emma Barber’s (Nia Sioux) sad fate and explain to John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) why he thinks it’s all Thomas’ fault.

Later, Finn will fill Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) in on Xander being his new patient and all the awful dirt he spilled on Thomas.

Once Steffy finds out Xander accused Thomas of being responsible for Emma’s car crash, she’ll rush to her brother’s defense and offer an alternative version of events.

That’ll leave Finn torn over the situation since part of him will want to believe Steffy, but another part of him will feel like Thomas is incredibly dangerous.

Finn will feel like Hope’s putting herself in a truly risky position by growing closer to Thomas, so he’ll probably make up his mind to warn her about Xander’s side of the story.

Hope will indeed get updates on Xander’s incriminating allegations against Thomas, so she’ll be shocked over what she hears.

Meanwhile, Thomas will learn Xander’s been badmouthing him, so Steffy will probably give him a heads-up on what Xander told Finn.

Thomas will become concerned about the narrative that Xander’s pushing and how this news could affect his relationship with Hope.

As for Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), he’ll talk Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park) into going out on a date with him, so will that jog his memory of their past?

It seems likely Bill slept with Poppy many years ago, so he may remember her once they spend a little more time together.

If Bill eventually recalls Poppy as a one-night stand, he could do the math and have questions about Luna Nozawa’s (Lisa Yamada) paternity.

Regardless, Bill will be very intrigued by Poppy and will try to impress her on their date, but you can bet Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) will be less than thrilled with this development!
