The Bold and the Beautiful Summary: Friday, December 22 – Eric Receives a Christmas Miracle – Positive Results from Finn's Treatment

 

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, December 22, reveals that Katie Logan (Heather Tom), Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz), Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) and RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) all worked on decorating the Forrester mansion for Christmas.

Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) had texted Katie earlier and said to fill the house with the holiday spirit, so Katie hoped this would be the boost Eric Forrester (John McCook) needed to come back to them.

As Katie encouraged everyone to stay positive, she talked about how Eric had been a miracle to so many people. Now Katie felt that Eric deserved a miracle himself.

At the hospital, John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) suggested Eric’s eye movement was a good sign and felt he was ready to come off the ventilator.

Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones) agreed it was the right thing to do.

Finn urged Eric’s loved ones not to lose hope, so Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) said nobody was giving up and that they’d pray for a Christmas miracle.

After the pulmonary specialist examined Eric and agreed he needed to start breathing on his own, Finn and Bridget removed the tube.

The monitors started beeping as Eric struggled to breathe, so Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and the others started to panic.

Brooke Forrester read a passage from the Bible before light hit Eric’s face – like he was truly getting a miracle sent from above. Eric gasped as he started to breathe on his own and ultimately opened his eyes.

On Friday’s B&B episode, Finn urged Eric to stay with them and focus. When Eric was asked to give them a sign, he squeezed Donna’s hand.

Ridge hugged Bridget and Brooke in relief before Brooke welcomed Eric home.

The mood was somber back at the Forrester mansion as RJ played the piano.

Once Brooke called and asked to be put on speakerphone, she revealed that Eric was off the ventilator and conscious.

Although Brooke said Eric had a long road ahead, she offered updates on the miracle they’d been praying for.

Katie was thrilled along with Zende, RJ and Luna, so RJ led them in singing Joy to the World as they all celebrated.

Brooke returned to Ridge and let him know that she delivered the news to Thorne Forrester (Winsor Harmon) as well.

Donna and Steffy told Eric that Finn found a way to save him before Ridge chimed in.

Ridge knew he made a promise to Eric and had wanted to honor it, but he was glad they took the treatment option Finn came up with.

When Ridge begged his dad to say something, Eric noticed the nearby holiday decorations and did his best to mumble out “Merry Christmas.”

Ridge, Bridget, Donna, Brooke, Steffy and Finn were all elated to see Eric reach this turning point.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Eric’s recovery will come with some obstacles, but at least he’s on the right track!
